From the opening sequence of The Simpsons, Bart Simpson skateboarding through Springfield has been a defining and recurring visual—making skate culture an integral part of the show’s identity. For the upcoming Simpsons movie, I was brought on by Gracie Films and Fox Marketing to collaborate with iconic skate footwear brand Vans on a special project.

I worked alongside notable artists including David Flores, Futura, Gary Panter, Geoff McFetridge, KAWS, Mr. Cartoon, Neckface, Sam Messer, Stash, Taka Hayashi, Todd James, and Tony Munoz on the shoe designs. I also collaborated with legendary comic artist Bill Morrison of Bongo Comics on the Homer Ripper skateboard deck graphic.
